Naomi Campbell in court over blood diamond
Supermodel Naomi Campbell is set to testify over a 'blood diamond' she was allegedly given by ex- Liberian president Charles Taylor. According to Prosecutors for the UN-backed court for Sierra Leone, the renowned model was given the diamond by Mr Taylor in 1997 during a charity dinner at Nelson Mandela's house in South Africa.

Changes to police search powers
Theresa May told Parliament that the government will change how stop and search powers under section 44 of the Terrorism Act are used, with immediate effect. The move is in response to a decision by European Court of Human Rights which found that the use of stop and search powers under section 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000 amounted to a violation of the right to a private life.

Schoolboy gets LIFE in prison
A schoolboy who took revenge for being dumped by killing his ex-girlfriend and her older sister in a house fire was jailed for life. Akmol Miah, 15, must serve at least 23 years behind bars for murdering 15-year-old Maleha Masud and Nabiha Masud, 21, at their home in Tooting, south London. |
