Sherwood Man who operated heroin factory is jailed

Leon Wright Jailed Conrad Vaughan jailed

A man has been jailed for seven-and-a-half years after police discovered a large-scale heroin factory was being operated from his rented flat.
Leon Wright (pictured above left) aged 30, from Sherwood, was sentenced after police discovered around £100,000 worth of the drug at his address.
Police raided the flat in December 2010 during an investigation by the force’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit into the supply of drugs and associated organised crime.

No one was inside the flat but officers discovered 1.2 kilos of heroin hidden in one of the bedrooms.  In another bedroom, officers found a loaded semi-automatic 9mm pistol and additional bullets.

The flat was being used by Wright and two other men, Conrad Vaughan, (above right) aged 28, from Lenton, and a 28-year-old man from Bilborough.
